This 13 HP Honda powered generator provides 7,000 running watts and 8,750 max watts or portable power. This overhead valve engine provides improved fuel efficiency, longer life, easier maintenance, and less noise. This unit features an 8 gallon tank with a fuel cap gauge which provides up to 10 hours of run time at 50% load. The control panel has four 120-volt outlets, one 120/240-volt locking outlet and circuit breaker protection. An automatic voltage regulation system protects solid state equipment and provides more precise voltage control. Low oil shutdown protects the engine by automatically turning off when the oil is low. This Honda powered generator comes equipped with 10-inch pneumatic wheels and a dual folding handles and is backed with a 2 year limited warranty and supported by the Powermate Corporation toll-free 24/7 consumer hotline, 800-445-1805.
The Premium Plus 8750 comes equipped with a 13HP heavy duty Honda GX390 OHV engine, 8 gal fuel tank, 10hrs run time 50% load and operates at 7000W with a max of 8750W. These generators are manufactured with OHV engines to provide improved fuel efficiency, longer life, easier maintenance, and less noise. These generators are great for backup power at home or on the job site. Large extended run fuel tank will give you hours of power. Note: This product cannot be shipped to California due to CARB emission requirements. Powermate 7kw Generator + Cover December 23, 2007

Timely delivery to my front door - no extra fee for lift gate service. Generator is shipped dry obviously - add oil and gas and fire it up. Honda engine at this price is a bonus - 2 pull start! Make sure you buy your pigtail at a local store like Home depot or electircal supply store. The online vendors do not do a good job of helping you determine if their pigtails will connect to your generator or your Gentran or circuit box adapter. Real easy to put together. Put the wheels on and the lift handles and foot and then add oil and gas and you in business. I also bought generator to cover the unit while in storage to help keep it clean. One down side to this generator is that is has an 8 gallon tank. Most have a 10 gallon.

Different Generator, Same Honda Engine November 11, 2011

I am assuming this generator is essentially the same as the Black Max 7000/8750 as the specs look the same and the engine is the Honda GX390 I own the Black Max. This review is on the engine only. After about 50 hours of uses (two storms, first one Irene, generator was run for 20 hours, the second, the freak Oct Northeast snowfall it ran over 80 hours). Overall the unit works well EXCEPT:I changed the oil after 20 hours as recommended in the Honda manual. At 50 hours, the engine started blowing oil over the muffler, cylinder head , carb and bottom of the fuel tank and my driveway. Being in the middle of a 10 day power outage, not much of a chance getting this thing repaired much less replaced. Further investigation found the oil was coming from the overhead valve cover. Bolt appeared tight. Interesting to note, that I also have a Honda engine (6.5 horsepower) on my power washer. It too leaks oil from around the valve cover. I replaced the gasket on that one, but it still has a minor leak. No luck anywhere around here finding parts for this Honda engine, so I cleaned the gasket, cleaned the flange and reassembled and that seems to have for the moment fixed the problem. I still have a very minor oil leak, but I can live with this one until I can get the unit serviced.Seems odd that my two dissimilar Honda engines have the same oil leak issue. My Techumseh, Briggs and Subaru (Overhead valve) engines don't leak. I will be very wary of purchasing anything in the future with a Honda engine.
